Here’s featuring ClubCouture’s custom made bridesmaid dresses. I know it’s quite shameless of me to say this… but very pretty right!

I don’t understand why people will buy those cheap ‘convertible’ dresses for their bridesmaids to wear! It really looks bad on EVERY bridesmaid, no matter what ‘style’ she wears it in – it just looks like a huge piece of cloth used to wrap around the body with excess fabric everywhere to be tied into random knots around the dress. And the colours are often so tacky and the material looks SO cheap.

I don’t see what’s wrong with having all your bridesmaids wear the same but nicely made dress instead of a different ugly ‘dress’ on every girl. If you really want to have different dresses for everybody, then have them tailor made in the same material. Or you could get the better multi-way dress from Victoria’s Secret and not those horrible knockoffs!

Don’t tell me the ‘oh, cause people are not so spendthrift like you’ nonsense cause you can easily get inexpensive, nice dresses..but if you want ‘individuality’ so badly, then be prepared to pay a little more.  Or maybe these brides just want their bridesmaids to look so fugly so that they will look really good in their Vera Wangs.

Maybe it’s just me, but somehow I’ve became incredibly lazy with all the necessary grooming since I got attached. Dragging myself out for a long appointment sounds really tortuous when I can be home chilling out with Gossip Girl and Haagen Dazs, you know?  It didn’t use to be that bad, cause the boy was travelling so much, so every one month or so, I’ll see myself scrambling to the hairdresser, wax salon and everywhere else. But now that he has paused flying for school, sad to say, I haven’t been keeping up with my grooming regimen for the past year. And 2 days back, whilst stalking Facebook, I got super freaked out when I saw this ex classmate of mine looking DAMN FRUMPY AUNTIE. Like her dressing’s bad, hair’s bad and she’s only my age! And yes, it also dawned upon me that I’m not young any more and maintenance work is needed pronto. I feel so evil that I’m using her as my motivation :/

And you know, I think it’s very unhealthy to attribute my laziness to the relationship. If we unfortunately end up not working out, I’m going to spend forever blaming him for making me look bad at the prime of my life, when really, it’s just cause I’m super lazy and it’s not fair to him right! And I don’t want any ‘I told you so’s if he leaves me cause I’m too auntie looking. I think it’s bullshit when people say “he should love you for who you are” – yes he should! And he does for all my cuteness, responsibleness (I make really good holiday plans ok!) etc etc though a bit bordering on OCD-ness but it is a FACT that he was first attracted to me cause of my looks right? Obviously at 40 I’m not going to look like I’m 20 (actually, I know a few people like that, and they look like Barbie meet Frankenstein) but at 40 I should look like a well-groomed 40 yo (think SATC) and definitely not look like I’m 40 when I’m in my 20s right! And this’s taking a lot of hard work

Sunday – Brows

Also: teeth whitening appointment made, nails appointment made, waxing appointment to be made. OMG face laser appointment too.

And time to get diligent with the healthy eating stuff.
