Today, I accomplished A LOT – went to the money changer, booked the Shanghai hotels finally and ordered my boots for Korea.  And now blogging too

Wanted the pink version cause they’re SO CUTE but I ended up getting the safe but boring camel version instead after so much deliberation.

Anyway, quite a few people have been asking me if I’m still living in Thailand and what should they do about their holiday plans. Well, I’ve since moved back but I still shuffle very frequently between both countries and re your Bangkok holiday, if you have travel insurance that will cover the cancellation, I strongly suggest that you change your destination. No one except God perhaps, and definitely not me, will be able to give a definite answer as to when the flood will clear and if everything will be okay by (insert date of your holiday). Even if the flood clears, there’s still going to be a lot of garbage to clean up and stuff, you know?

I think I’m going to sound like one of those emo nemo or PMS bitches but I’m feeling quite zzzz about this Halloween.

I really wanted to go to the Halloween Horrors thingy at the night safari last year but we didn’t get to go. Basically the story goes like.. the bf was away in Brunei and he then came back for like 4 days over halloween weekend before he had to leave for Australia. So when he was in Brunei, I asked him if he wanted to do the Halloween Horrors thingy, cause if he doesn’t want to, I’ll do it with my friends before halloween (the stupid event runs for like a month or two) and then we’ll do something else when he returns. But he said he was interested in it and so I waited for him to return. And so we planned to head to the stupid night safari on Saturday. But on Friday night at Pump Room (yes I can remember the specifics), his good friend G’s then girlfriend A declared that we (i.e. all the fly boys + gfs) are going to Butter Factory on Sat and he promptly agreed to it without talking to me about it. I was extremely peeved because i) the stupid Halloween Horrors thing was not gonna be around after that weekend and ii) I asked like a billion times from Brunei to Singpore before Pump Room if he wanted to do anything with his friends over halloween cause I NEEDED TIME TO GET A COSTUME but the answer was always ‘No, my friends are not into halloween’. And then on 10:30pm the night before halloween, you agree to somebody else’s girlfriend’s plans? Hello!! But anyway me being little ms nice didn’t get angry or sad (just a little peeved) and headed to Bibi & Baba and ended up looking like a primary school MGS girl (I love those cute Bata shoes) while he went as a pedophilic Phua Chu Kang.

But you know what they say? We women forgive, but we NEVER FORGET.

So I’ve been looking forward to Halloween Horrors this year but then the bitch Isabelle (I feel sick typing her name cause it’s my name too!!) Loh decided to pull the plug on the event because they don’t worship the devil. WTF. I bet she’s a nutjob Christian and a very stupid businesswoman because, tell me, who else goes to the night safari if not for Halloween Horrors?

Then a month ago I decided I really want to do the USS halloween thingy. It basically runs for like 4 or 5 weekends before halloween weekend and for the past month, every few days I will ask him “eh go check with your friends your halloween plans” cause I speak from experience obviously. But he didn’t confirmed anything with me until last night when I was like, “I’m going to book USS for tomorrow with Simin & Joel cause you never update me about your side”.. but of course, THERE WERE NO MORE BLOODY TICKETS LEFT.

I ended up crying for hours because it’s just damnnnnnn pek chek to like wait for a year(!!!) for nothing. I know it’s not his fault per se, it’s not anybody’s fault. Maybe I should have been one of those demanding girlfriends and decided that “no you’re not going out with your friends. I hate your friends, you can’t go out with them. We’re spending halloween at USS”. I feel damn sad now on a Friday night and I really don’t want to do anything else except to hide under the covers and continue being sad. Meh

Finally, a decent place that we can have our clothes made in peace. Okay, not exactly since we still have all that water in the land of floods. But still somewhat better than the whole series of supernatural events experienced with our previous workshop. *feeling all spooked now*

Last weekend had so much dating going on. We I got drunk on two bottles of wine at Winebos at 9pm on a Friday, spent Saturday at Studio M (staycation!) and had dinner at Hannibal. Sunday was spent at Sim Lim.. then I realized that I left fatbear behind at the hotel!! Behind the pillows to be exact! Cried all the way back to Studio M and thank god he’s still there. Studio M was not too bad, it made me want to get a loft now! But the downside is that it has way tooooo many Singaporeans for my liking.

Today we did dim sum again at Imperial Treasure at 10:30am!! Insanely early and we caught In Time.  I know I sound quite elitist when I say this but I totally believe in social Darwinism, you know, survival of the fittest?

Anyways, I had grand plans today to i) book that Shanghai hotel ii) blog iii) catch a movie and iv) NOT work (I spend my weekends clearing work too!).  But despite closing the office today, the hotel’s still not booked, I still ended up clearing work and I need to settle Halloween stuff fast! I’m spending Saturday at my staff’s daughter’s wedding though. So random.. I know!! So that leaves us with only Friday to do something and we still have that bottle of wine at Winebos to finish.

Last night we both had weird dreams. He whispered to me ‘I love you’ and I told him I was a witch and a friend of Harry Potter. Then a couple of hours later, he woke me up to tell me there’s a worm on my pillow and promptly went back to sleep.

Okay, 9pm. I got to head home in an hour, let me try to be productive with those horrible errands.

By the way, we got a new model and wah, she looks damn hot.

HOT RIGHT? Anyway this hoodie is super thick and comfy to keep you warm as the weather starts getting colder now.

From the land of no Facebook.. it feels really quite depressing TBH. Can’t wait to return to Singapore!

Less than 24 hours to go.

.. not just to pack but also cause I want to play Desert Story AND Restaurant Story concurrently! When my espresso’s brewing, I’m making a fruit salad. When my french toast’s cooking, I’m baking chocolate chip cookies. Domestic goddess, ME!

I can’t stop playing Dessert Story on the tab. In fact, I’m typing this post only cause it takes another hour for my chamomile tea to be ready. HOW LOSER IS THIS RIGHT.

I have so many things to do, e.g. to book our Shanghai hotels (I’ve decided on a good one!) and start looking for my suitcases.

But you know what? I’m gonna go back to the game. ZZZ I know!

It’s very strange how we did quite almost the same things both yesterday and today.

We had Oh My Dog yesterday which has quite possibly the best hotdogs in Singapore, highly recommended if you want something really American-good like what you see on Food Network. And today we did dim sum at Crystal Jade – omg the char siew soh, egg tarts, chee cheong fun and pei dan porridge was so comforting.

GV gold class was quite an experience. Before we got into cinema, we found the entire idea of it a complete rip-off. From the high-class looking envelope sleeve to keep your typical GV movie ticket to yet another envelope sleeve to keep the receipt of the drink (A&W rootbeer float!) we got in the lounge to the other people (all Caucasian) having champagne in the lounge. How pretentious and wannabe, we say. But once we got into the cinema, we were sold. The seats are like what you’ll find in the business class section of an airplane. Lying under a blanket in a fully reclined seat with maximum leg space and sipping a rootbeer float was actually a very good experience that we’ll most probably end up watching the rest of our movies at gold class too :/

I’m still alive, though I have a very depressing work trip to make next week. And so many new things happen every day – getting ourselves a bigger production space (yessss, we make our own clothes!), a&p for our A/W flair collection launch and a whole line up of things I can’t say Sometimes I’ve dabbled with the thought of moving to Tumblr but all the migration and setting everything up again is gonna be a huggeeee headache. I’ve not settled my hotels for Shanghai. It’s funny how we can settle our work trips really easily at the last minute and never have to worry about flights and hotels but for holidays.. God, I spent 2 hours at Agoda yesterday and I still can’t find a place that i) is near Xin Tian Di cause that’s the only place I know ii) has complimentary wireless Internet in the room and iii) doesn’t cost like $700 a night.

In happier news, we got ourselves a staycation planned Studio M at Jo’s recommendation. Spending the weekend at Robertson does sound like a good idea actually – ramen at Ippudo, chilling out at Stacked and all that jazz. We need time for ourselves without all the insane weekend errands.

And oh! We went on a date yesterday It’s been a while.. and the 2 hours dinner with wine at Michelangelo’s was good. He picked me up from work, I bothered with the makeup and we laughed, drank and talked. Life has been throwing me lots of curveballs but surprisingly, it can be quite good at times.

Im still typing this on the tab cause im too lazy to take out my laptop. anyways i cant be bothered with caps & punctuation cause im awfully lazy. im also tempted to get an ipad for myself cause im a brand whore. ok i wanted to write about dinner at michaelangelos tonight but typing here is so unfun so im gonna book our staycation instead· bye bye
