lol

This blog got a considerable increase in visits yesterday because of people who searched “rsaf open house photo with good looking pilots”, “rsaf open house 2011 pilots” and “rsaf open house 2011 proud” amongst other searches. LOL. Too bad I’ve no pictues of handsome pilots to offer.

And this reminds me of how this lady went to the open house twice for G’s colleague – the first day to snap pictures with him and the next day to give him hardcopies of the photos of them together :P

hello.

Hello world.

I haven’t been writing cause yes, I’ve been busy with work and sometimes I log in here, type a line or two, then decide I don’t know how else to complete the entry and then I choose to click on the X instead.

It’s a gorgeous Sunday, gorgeous only cause I’m indoors with the aircon turned on and the curtains drawn shut. So even though it’s 11:15am now, it kinda looks like 7am and that’s when you know, people usually write stuff like It’s a gorgeous Sunday. So pretentious of me haha.

I can hear the F-15 (or F-16?) planes flying noisily above for the air show. If you didn’t know, it’s the RSAF open house today which the boy is doing his nation proud by being there and telling people what pilots do. If you ask me, it means playing lots of WOW hurhur. I think I’m being a very unsupportive girlfriend cause I’ve decided I’ll not  brave the traffic, crowd and heat to be at the open house. But to redeem myself,  I shall post the RSAF The Dream TVC here cause I actually like it quite a bit <3

– okay I stopped writing at 12ish, and went with the boy and his mum to town. I then came back and slept quite a bit after the feast and now I’m continuing this post at 11:51pm. –

Anyway, I don’t know why some people have to be so ugly when dealing with customer service personnel. I understand we have every right to get angry especially when things don’t go our way, but is there really a need to hurl insults and threats? More often than not, I think it just makes us look like nutjobs more than anything else. ZZZ

BED TIME!

Quick One

A quick one cause I don’t really have time. I’m still alive, very much busy, but it’s always good to be busy.

The boy and I OD-ed on Gossip Girl late last night.

hmmm.

Dear Yvonne Chia,

Think of this analogy. I was given a recruit who was assessed to have the potential to be a good soldier. The platoon had to capture a hill. The recruit came under a hail of bullets. As platoon leader, I had to protect him, even at the risk of my own life.
Am I being stubborn or deaf? Or did I not do the honorable thing expected of a platoon leader?
That the recruit could have been better prepared for the mission or be an older, more experienced recruit is a separate point. I am aware of the widespread unhappiness at sending this recruit to the platoon. But I would say, now that the recruit has survived the ordeal of battle, let him prove that he can be a good soldier…

random

Some other random pictures I found in my phone.

The day the boy surprised me with breakfast at Riders.  He refused to tell me where we were going but being the clever me (*shameless*), I knew where we were headed once we took the Eng Neo exit! It started raining after we got there, and we had a good time with the good food, greenery, horses (mad love!) and the company of each other :)

Looking at this pic makes me hungry again – french toast with caramelized bananas, fresh strawberries and bacon. Better than Epicurious if you ask me.

I was talking when this picture was taken and I know I look SUPER GREEDY here :/

IMG_1080

The day before the boy left for his detachment, he got up really early to make breakfast for me (and also because he had a 730am gaming appointment zzz) but with sauteed  mushrooms, grilled tomato and sausages and pancakes drowned in syrup, life’s pretty good.

Some random picture taken during one of our dinner dates, I can’t remember when!

IMG_1066

OMG MAD LOVE! When the boy was away on detachment, I went over to his place to collect some stuff and his mum happily passed me this. Super cute stuff inside <3 <3 <3

Dinner with Nui & Zach at Newton when they came to Singapore!

The boy and I were at Bakerzin on Saturday and before we started eating and all, he asked, “Do you want to take a picture?” and I replied “OKAY!” and happily snapped a picture of our drinks. But when the food arrived,  I was too greedy and forgot all about taking any pictures – as usual, food blogger me fail.

Okay, time to get back to work.

back

Back, from China and to blogging. And finally, I’ve some breathing space and time.

The boy and I caught Fast 5 last night with Joanne, Greg and Fooks <3 I think the movie’s pretty good, go catch it if you haven’t! I finally tried Freshness Burger and I know now why this place gets so many positive reviews. The avocado salad’s a must try. Speaking of avocados, I’ve been a fan of this fruit/vegetable for the longest time and when I first started seeing the boy, he just couldn’t understand why I would like this mushy, green thing but now he’s a convert :D I especially love them in my salads.

China was better this time round, less tiring and better food cause I brought my own instant noodles and Knorr porridge.

I usually add half the amount of rice so I’ll get a more soupy porridge of sorts. Super MSG loaded with bits and pieces of egg, veg and stuff. Yums.

Our first meal in China at Zheng Kung Fu. It’s this Chinese Fast Food place that basically serves one dish meat meals, comes with soup + veg + drink if you want to complete the meal. Not too bad, but like almost all food in China, it can be very oily.

IMG_1097

Our driver recommended us to try this local dish of caramelized deep fried tapioca. It’s quite nice actually but the portion was huge and to us, it’s more like a desert sorta thing but they eat it as a main dish with rice :/

Some corn salad thing at KFC, quite yummy too!

I feel like screaming.

I don’t want to sound like one of those emo nemo nutcases but I’m feeling quite miserable TBH. Work is stressing me out quite a fair bit, I’ve been setting my alarm to wake up at 4am to read, I didn’t go out at all this weekend except for the obligatory Mothers’ Day lunch, I want to write about what I think about the GE but I feel like I shouldn’t be wasting my time, I miss the boy quite badly and I feel bad that I think it’s somewhat good that he’s away so I can dedicate all my time to work and I get nightmares about work. Doesn’t help that I’m nursing a fever but to be fair, it’s pretty mild now.

Okay back to work.

three.

The boy’s away and I’ve been busy with work and reading some stuff. And I have time for this post cause I’m in the bathroom.

I contemplated visting him from Saturday to Sunday, which will mean less than 24 hours together if you factor in the flight, waiting time and all. Not very worth the money but I can’t come back any later cause of the work trip with Siew (honestly, I really don’t like where we’re going) nor can I leave any earlier cause I want to vote.

So anyway, it’s said that we need to agree on religion, sex and politics for a relationship to work. I’m glad that we both have similar views.

Okay back to reading. Bye bye.
